As summer comes to an end, make a last ditch effort to visit a national park. There's so many free activities, such as the Junior Ranger program, hiking trails, rivers, streams, waterfalls, wildlife and so much more!
Junior Ranger Programs are free activity based badges to earn that exemplify the motto: "Explore, learn, and protect". It's for students between ages five and thirteen, and the free downloadable activity booklet contains lots of fun things to do in most national parks.
That's just the beginning of fun based on our nation's parks! If students are unable to visit national parks then try the web based virtual Junior Ranger Programs called Webrangers. In addition, there are badges that can be earned at home by exploring some of the interesting booklets found at the National Park Service website.
There's so many free, fun activities at our national parks:
Exploring & Spelunking
Fishing & Swimming
Climbing & Hiking
History & Geology
S'mores & Team Building
This week's freebies are based on the National Parks Service website:
Make your last summer road trip an educational and fun one with an adventure to U.S. national parks!
