Teaching Fake News and Propaganda



Fake news and propaganda are everywhere in today's society! Even local and national news channels have been accused of inventing and spreading stories that contain bare threads of facts. 

How can you help students understand why they believe fake news, uncover what fake news is, and recognize propaganda?

When working with fake news, propaganda, and research sources, remind students to use common sense--if it sounds too good or outlandish to be true then triple fact check it!
