Predicting whether the groundhog will or will not see his shadow is fun for everyone! So, how are you and your students celebrating Groundhog Day?
One of the best places for learning about the holiday is the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club website. There's a trivia game and updates, as well as a survey for predicting whether the groundhog will/will not see his shadow. There's a great teacher section with lesson plans for all ages!
Another great place to learn about groundhogs is The Old Farmer's Almanac groundhog website! There's history and fun facts about the animals, along with lore and songs.
