Saint Patrick's Day Surprises

A favorite memory of St. Patrick's Day is the national parade in Washington, D.C. I stood with groups of fifth graders from Clear Creek ISD in front of the Smithsonian where we watched children tap dance in the street to celebrate their heritage on the special holiday. There were also men in kilts who played bagpipes. We enjoyed the St. Patrick's Day parade in the nation's capitol, and a sense of pride swept over us as we recognized diversity in America.
